Hello I am Anna Llewellyn and I am curator and author of this site, I look forward to introducing you to beautiful, innovative, exciting artwork exhibited in my world of virtual hoarding. I will be inviting you to view influential talented artists who inform my art practice and my progression through my degree course.
I have been lucky enough to have already had a fulfilling career in Animation which I left to concentrate on bringing up my 3 children. I felt that it was time for me to move on, I am now in my final year of the Art Practice course at The University of Glamorgan it was just what I was looking for to continue and educate my passion for art.
I left school after my A levels and trained at a newly opened Siriol animation Studio in Cardiff. I worked my way through the Paint and trace department to a become a colour designer or Stylist as the Americans call it. I then had to design the whole look of the films working with the director and background artists scene by scene. I have worked on numerous films and series in Wales, Russia and America. I traced, colour designed and painted the Fireman Sam Toybox comic for the BBC, and for a change I worked as an interior design for 6 months mostly specialising and project managing full room transformations.
I have also been very active in all art and craft projects at my childrens junior school, from face painting ,making masks, full-scale backdrops and santas grotto installation!. I have been chair of the school PTA raising money and organising functions. I also help run an after school club once a week doing different crafts with children.
During school holidays I have had a marvellous time teaching pottery at the Museum of Welsh Life.
I am passionate about art and through my degree course I have learnt to practice, research and talk about it, this is what I want to share with you.
Thank you for taking time to look at my blog. Anna .
